stolen goods.

matty informed me this is up on the inter-web.

other than beckham, this is what i aspire to.

soooooo...

here's something to think about...

say your band plays shows that look like this...

or maybe makes videos like this...

...

point being?

performance vs. medium/media I guess...

all i'm saying is if i saw antioch arrow live, i would never have listened to their record, but having heard what i've heard... you get the idea.

and then with kill me tomorrow...

that video (in my head anyway) represents what they do live in no way shape or form...

so there's several arguments as to how live performance should relate to material on record or extensions of a band (art, merch, videos, interviews, airplay agereements, photography, puppets etc.) ... but i think there's something to be said about how a person discovers any artist or branch of music these days given the number of oportunities available. it's easier to make yourself more accessible if you choose, but i'm beginning to understand why there's such a varied fanbase for any variety of bands anymore... which also halfway explains the crossed-arms-eye-glaring from across the aisle at so many shows over the years.

so yeah, maybe i didn't catch these guys when you did back in charlotte of '96 when they played your cousin fred's leaky basement apartment... but i'm into them now.

and things are probably better that way.

* * *

and now back to laundry.
